Established in 1926 as an exporter of chromite ore, today, ZIMASCO is the Largest integrated ferrochrome producer in Zimbabwe. The mining company has smelting operations at Kwekwe with installed operational capacity capable of producing 180,000 t.p.a of high carbon ferrochrome. Zimasco employs 750 direct and over 3000 indirect employees.
