HARARE (Mining Index) – PERFORMANCE Laboratories provides prompt high-quality test results that add value to mining operations and help miners make informed decisions.
Since inception in 2011, the test centre has been in business to provide commercial testing laboratory services offering assay and analytical services to the mining industry in Zimbabwe and the region.
The assay lab caters for a wide range of clients ranging from artisanal and small scale miners to large mining companies in Zimbabwe for exploration, with regional exploration projects in Mozambique, Uganda and Ethiopia.
Located in Ruwa, Harare, the laboratory was accredited ISO 17025 since its inauguration and has maintained this accreditation status to date.
It is worth noting that Performance Laboratories offers instant results for gold in solution AAS finish.
Standard operating procedures have been put in place for all in-house systems and processes.
Employing modern samples preparation equipment as well as advanced analytical instruments, Performance Laboratories offers timely high-quality test results for better mineral recoveries.
Percentage activity on carbon, gold in carbon, titratons, cynade and gold fire assay with either AAS /gravimetric finish, assay results for these can be obtained within the same day.
“Our current focus is on gold determinations. The laboratory also conducts tests of base metals. Plans are underway to expand our services to incorporate platinum group of metals and environmental samples,” said Performance Laboratories, Laboratory Manager Admore Mupandaseka.
Performance Laboratories is flexible and aims to deliver analysis reports to schedule, delivering assay results for lithium, silver with gravimetric finish and base metals including copper, zinc, nickel and cobalt after 24 hours.
Assay results for bottle roll (cynide –leah) are obtainable after 48 hours.
All Performance Laboratories staff is highly trained, qualified and experienced. This is coupled with a competent technical team, constantly assessed by the accreditation body, SANAS.
