By Business Reporter – 11 February 2019 HARARE (Mining Index) – FORMER Deputy Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Mr Tongai Matthew Muzenda was appointed General Manager for the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ).
Muzenda succeeds former acting general manager Mr Richard Chingodza.
His mining history dates back when he served in various capacities at Gweru-based ferrochrome producer, Zimbabwe Alloys.
Born on August 11, 1965, Muzenda holds a degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Between 1986-7, he served as secretary for economics for the Student Representative Council at the UZ.
He is son to the late Vice President Simon Muzenda and is the current Gutu West legislator. ENDS//
