The fate of Wonderer and Camperdown Gold Mines in Shurugwi

HARARE (Mining Index) – WONDERER Mine and Camperdown Gold Mines in Shurugwi closed in 1957.

Wonderer Mine collapsed and today, the whole mining team that was working on the morning shift remains buried underground.

Over one hundred people are believed to have perished in this mine disaster.

Wanderer Gold Mine is alleged to have belonged to Her Majesty, the Queen of England. ENDS// miningndex.co.zw
